Our Policy towards players looking to play cricket in the UK

Overseas players looking for a Club

  • Crawley Cricket Club does not engage professional players
  • Crawley Cricket Club does not pay accommodation costs, provide jobs or cars for players
  • We do not arrange air fares or visas or provide written invitations for non English players
  • The Sussex Invitation League does not allow clubs to pay players for playing in our League
  • The Sussex Invitation League does not allow players to play more than one overseas player per team.
  • We do welcome players from overseas that are qualified to play for England to join Crawley CC but like everyone else, you must pay us to play.
  • If you do not have a British passport then you may qualify to play in the Sussex Invitation League if you can prove that you are normally resident in the UK. This means you will probably have a job in the UK or a house and you do not spend 6 months playing cricket in the UK and returning to your home country for the winter to play cricket there. We welcome players from all nationalities and we will do our best to ensure that you can play League cricket but once again  WE DON'T PAY YOU TO PLAY, YOU PAY US!!

We welcome applications from players arriving in the UK and looking for a club to play for but we will need to talk to you about your passport and residency status.

We don't pay players to pay for Crawley.  We are a membership club and everyone pays to play.
